Process Engineer (m/f)


The successful candidate will have experience in logistics customer deployments and implementations, specifically focused on creation and execution of operational processes. The candidate will possess business logistics process design and operating procedure documentation experience – participating & supporting in the of process flows, Standard Operating Procedures, Working Instructions, Cost Driver Models and other business-process related documentation. This skill-set will enable successful logistics project start-ups, thorough and professional process and procedure documentation, and ultimately, successful transition to operational readiness and stabilization.

The core responsibilities of the Process engineer include:

  • Being the part of Operation and work closely with multiple KN IL functional units such as Solution Development, Implementation, Application Support, Finance, and Logistics Provider Management to aid in the design of Integrated Logistics solutions for our clients
  • Understand current operational landscape within KN IL verticals and utilize lessons-learned to continuously improve future customer implementations
  • Participate in operational process design for KN IL customer implementations, working closely with above functional units
  • Support to translate operational process design into applicable process documentation – process flows, Standard Operating Procedures, Working Instructions, etc.
  • Support that all process documentation for existing clients, as mentioned above, is maintained and updated as required
  • Participate in design and coordination of User Acceptance Testing
  • Participate in customer implementation meetings, in-person and remote, as required
  • Post-go live support for the newly implemented customers & support in the stabilization of the already existing ones
  • Support the development of KPIs and report in collaboration with Reporting teams
  • Collaborate with Quality representative and Operations so that all process documentation for existing clients is maintained and updated as required. (process to be initiated by Quality or OPS, PE to support )
  • Participate in operational meetings with clients, in some cases requiring travel during design, implementation and stabilization phases
  • TMS knowledge which acts as buffer between Application Support and Operations
  • Define effective standards in regards to process, KPI an staff training
  • Define concepts and be trained on lean management for efficient and sustainable optimization of operational processes and lead Operations teams towards these ways of working
  • Mentor internal team members on Kaizen
  • Ensure operational ideas on improvements are heard and implemented and when require support change request procedure

  • Experience in day-to-day operations as well as new customer implementation
  • Solid experience in Kaizen and other Continuous Improvement methodology
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified
  • 1 to 5 years of combined working experience including leadership, process optimization and logistics or equivalent


Your skills and experience:

  • High degree of organizational, administrative, communication skills and self-motivation
  • Strong affinity with required customer quality standards and a broad overview of different industry characteristics
  • University degree or similar level of education in transport and/or logistics business ​
  • Fluency in English
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Knowledge of process flow design methodology, creation and tools ( i.e. Visio)
  • Extensive presentation skills
  • Technical and operational writing skills for Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and other business process documentation
  • Ability to multi-task between different accounts
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work well both individually as well as in a team
  • Ability to handle pressure
  • Willing to act in a changing organization
  • Willingness to travel
